If You Could Change One Thing About Indonesia, What Would It Be and Why? How Would You Change It?

Indonesia is a big country which has many natural resources and human resources inside its border. Geographical position of Indonesia has opened many opportunities to do business and trading with another country. Lack of education quality makes a distance between Indonesian and those opportunities. Education quality improvements are really needed to solve that problem.
We have many ways to make a better Indonesia, the way I would like to choose is education. An education is really important to support the development of one nation. The core of a developed country is a good quality education.  Education quality in Indonesia hasn’t developed well; many points which have been stated by UNICEF about quality in education haven’t been fulfilled by Ministry of Education.
We need real steps to solve the lack of education quality problems. Firstly, we have to renovate old school buildings, and build a new one in every district. Many students in remote area can’t study well because the broken roofs. Secondly, we have to make a new curriculum which has a relevant content with basic skills, literacy, numeracy, skills for life, and knowledge about world’s problem. Thirdly, we have to do is developing a new learning process which teachers approach students with child-centered learning in well managed class rooms and school. The last step which has a big effect is education accessibility for all Indonesian. We need allocate a bigger budget for free education, so all of those concepts will be perceived by every Indonesian student.
Based on those problems and solutions that I have stated above, we realize the importance of education as a foundation of developed country. An education gives many opportunities to every child to achieve their dreams, to make a meaningful life, and humanize human. "Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one." – Malcolm Forbes.
